Thursday:
I was with Neimi in the gym.
My dumbass did not take any pictures.
He came with the Beamer (BMW i4) in black.
Sick car, even though I was a bit underwhelmed.
That came from me drinking 6 espressos before and being „caffeinated“ out of my mind.
Was talking garbage, not playing it „good“ (socially).
We hit the gym – chest day – which was nice.
Talked a bunch, but mainly just talk that led to nothing.
I’ve said to myself: „You’ve lost him“ – which just means the chance of working on ventures together grew very slim.
He’s busy with medicial work and wants to pursue that and has his trading – I say this with a smile – good for him.
I asked him if he wouldn’t want to come to Innsbruck with us – he said No, as far as he’d go would be Linz.
We talked about climbing, he said he’s going Dolomites this september – I asked if he’d be opposed to me joining (he’s not).
He sent me the link and some vids. Would cost me around 500€ though – not sure if I want to spend that.
*That’s the thing that must change (money scarcity thoughts) – and you must first become the change for it to manifest.
Would certainly be hella sick.
Friday (Today):
I noted down in Notepad this:
Tracing my steps today:
-> Flamore Website –> Meeting on Monday
-> Checking out Bricks Animations including BricksForge GSAP
-> Lovable: Bear Document Generation Realtime Preview
-> Orchestrate Website in Figma (Trueform and 9d8 inspo)
-> wanting to make a music type component (easter egg) -> turned into Idea for an online Vinyl player demo -> turned into Scenery App like lofi.co (based on my daydream of the Reith in Tyrol House).
Claude threw up a pretty nice demo of it already.
The thought today: Leadning a world class design studio -> that’s how we go into the night. Outsourcing all webdesign ops. Streamlining them.
I made a pretty nice design of Orchestrate – orchestrate.agency in Figma, bascially only showing projects – very similar to 9d8.dev. Used Cal Sans + Geist Mono as Font combo – I think it works nicely.
As mentioned above, I played around with that Classicals Ambience type project I had in Feb. 2024 already – and I remember another instance where I wanted to build it – with the spotify integration even – I remember sitting on SBG HBF and designing that.
Claude threw together an almost production rdy screen in plain html, css and js. I think I’ll be using that.
I just now added the „Quote“ feature to always display a random quote along the scenery.
I just opened the old figma file and came across: https://flocus.com/ which was the tool that used Spoti integration (back when I was thinking about lofi.co) –> I checked out Gridfitti which runs Flocus and they put me on to https://www.wonderspace.app/ which is also similar.
And then I added in the current Figma: „If we build it – build it as a payable product.“ – meaning productized.
Spotify Integration clears me of copyright.
Value I provide is aesthetic.
Tracking sessions and such should be easy.
We can build ontop of WP CMS and store in post types or a custom table (documented).
Walking dog:
I then walked the dog and thought a bunch more – mainly if what I did today was any useful.
Came home, finished designing the Orchestrate File.
Also thought a bunch about niklasall.com => niklass.co and a redesign of that.
And what me.niklass.co should hold.
In that turn, I picked up the „learning photography“ topic as well.
A skill I think I can obtain to a level where it generally pays off: being able to make great photos for memories alone pays.
Just had a chat with GPT about the future of this site: https://chatgpt.com/c/6883dd93-47c4-8333-89ce-5911c0a9ec97 – I’ll 100% implement some of the things.
GPT might be better than Claude when it comes to anything outside of coding.
ALL in ALL:
I said to Neimi yesterday that I need to move away from Client work. Hate it – uninspired and gives me no joy.
The answer is automating client webdesign – providing the systems.
While speaking to Neimi I realized to shut the fuck up and just do it.
This first –> Money Making B2B (Leo Vertrieb) –> Projects B2C, automatable, scalable.
This is the way, our way.
Teaming up with Nigl for their Vertrieb – also good.
What I love most: working on my own ideas – I like the idea more than the execution.
What I love second: Making Money.
What I don’t love: doing mundane trench work like design or dev for something where the reward-effort(-risk) chart is flat. Just boring stuff. Why do it – when I can outsource it?
I argued: „I need the learning“ – no, I learn in the ARENA, but by building what we WANT.
