Monday, 14. July 2025 – 10:11 Uhr.
I’m taking this time to write up the experience – because in the evening I probably won’t or miss the brainpower to do so.
Let’s begin:
Friday, 4. Juli:
There is the last entry: „Mahler 8“ from that day.
VM was a slow type work day, not getting much done.
NM I helped with the move of Laura and Angelo.
I was excited for Afritz.
Train was nice I remember. I worked on Symphonies Fullpage screenshotting capabilities including Mobile – which is tricky on the client side. I tried to revise it in Afritz and was pissed since it was not 100% working. It still is not yet operational, but I now know the design direction: SeeSaw type clean white.

Had to wait 1hr on SBG HBF – went to McDonalds and ate white working on Symphonies. I remember.
Listened to a Bruckner Symphonies Ranking Video on YouTube while arriving in Schwarzach and then boarding the bus to Bad Gastein (HBF Gastein is under construction so trains don’t travel).
The symphonies ranking was awesome, always including snippets of the symphonies – Bruck Genius.
But getting to know that Mahler 8, we’ll see as we progress through Afritz, I was hooked on that.
I arrived at around 23:00 in Bad Gastein – wen’t almost straight to bed I think.
Saturday, 5. July:
Woke up abt 10AM, I said let’s go up the mountain in Sportgastein (Bockartscharte) – Adrian & Me went.
I gave Leo the WP access for Seekraut and Bogenschiessen – since did not go.
Adrian literally ran up the mountains, speedy fuck.
Not my style of hiking – I walk up slow and look around.
Tried to keep up for the first 3rd of the hike, which is the steepest.
Absolute fucked resource management – I remember later on top feeling my legs getting really heavy.
But he tried to show me how good he is now – and I like it.
I was looking for Kreuzotters, but could not see any.
Weather was good, but not sunny enough for them to come out.
Also wind was going.
We wrote a masterpiece into the Summit-Book:

Walking down, again no Snakes.
Overall a nice hike.
Bockartsee was looking beautiful to fish again (like we did last year, which was one of the best days ever – we saw 2 Kreuzotter and caught Forellen).
Adrian got a Fishingcard for this year – so I’ll be down again very soon so we can fish the Bockartsee for Forellen again.
Rest of the day: Me & Leo prepared the bikes for our trip tomorrow with the bikes down to Afritz – almost got cooked because we did not have Air in the tires.
Sarah’s dad got the right pump. We did not. But it was good, even though we put not enough air in my tires, so I felt like I almost had a flat when driving – more on that next day.
Sunday, 6. July: Monumental Bike ride
Waking up at 7:15 – Leo comes into the room where me & Adri sleep.
„Steh auf“ – „Reeelax“ I say, „wir san guad in da zeit“.
I get up, brush teeth, wash hair. He gives me the helmet and we start driving.
Up to the Schleuse from Böckstein to Malnitz via train through the tunnel.
I already feel that I have too little air in the tires, but nothing we can do now – except Tankstelle (we tried one later, they did not have the Ventil, we said fuck it).
Up to the schleuse is quite an upclimb, but I found it to be relatively easy – as did I throughout the trip.
The mountainbikes we had are very light and nice to drive.
But I already felt my ass – and I was driving with only regular, relatively thin sports pants.
Leo had 2x Radlhose haha.
Boarded the train – easy.
Then from Malnitz on it was game time.
First Google Maps wanted us to drive „Rabisch-Schlucht“ which was not wider than 1m.
We said „Fuck that“ and drove on the road.
Right after Malnitz there comes this Serpentine and long road down – what a bliss this was.
Banging down there was fun.
Down there we again got screwed by G Maps and had to revert back to the road. From there on we stayed near the road.
Sadly I did not take any pictures of the trip – why the hell did I not do that?
I carried the backpack with the phones and water in it.
Rest of the road was nice to drive.
We talked about business a bit and I enjoyed the landscape and the process of driving.
Cars with Adrian and Matthias driving passed us abt 30min after we banged down the Malnitz Road after we had 1€ coffee at a vending machine.
I loved the ride.
Arriving at Millstätter See, we went into a Billa and ate Apple, Melon, Nektarine and Banane + Redbull while looking over the lake and knowing – it’s not far anymore.
Leo got „Krampf“ in leg while driving and he rode it out until the end. So the thigh was always kind of cramping. We rode it out nontheless.
I put on Beethoven on the final 10km for a brief period, but then also found it non fitting.
On the last spurt, already beside Lake Afritz, Adrian Sarah and Andi walked around the lake on the trail and we passed them. I wanted to say something nice, but in the moment I just smiled and waved.
We were there. Straight up went into the water.
Then sat on the porch and drank wine – I was kind of drunk after 2 glasses.
It was the endorphines from the bike ride and the alcohol mixed that created this feel.
We grilled and I ate like a bear.
Overall loved the day. Slept beautifully that night – with the next day having a meeting about a deal the Ndigital Team.
Monday, 7. July:
Monday I had the call with Laurenz and Emma for Planungsbüro Stadler – I think on Wednesday or Thursday he gave confimation that this deal went through. Which is definitely a win.
I presented in the call the standard presentation, but then lost the laptop battery after only 20min and had to go in with the phone.
Laurenz pitched Karriereseite + Website for 8.5k, Website for 6.5k but then haggled with them down to 5.5 and finally down to 4.9k – they had another offer on the table for 4k. Overall a fine price, I’m swooping at least half.
Leo joined later on to make cold calls.
I remember this day I was a bit pissed off / turned off because he kinda whacked calls, was coughing all the time and overall mood was just not the best.
This was also where I started having thoughts about the solo gmbh I needed to make anyway – to name it something that can also be applicable in german b2b, should this be the case. I thought about this also on wednesday I think, where I made my first cold call and instantly set a meeting.
But here’s a pattern I luckily caught: Me thinking I can do it all by myself and do not need anyone else in moments of triumph or peak motivation and then realizing I do need others or we can go so much further together. For example: I don’t want to do B2B sales – I want to connect with the hot leads, but not sifting through the mess.
And it’s perfect that I have Leo for this, who should become good in that.
Afritz summarized
because I have no bock to write every detail out here and I don’t think it’s necessary or even appreciated later when reading it (maybe wrong):
Generall we did a lot of fishing – but caught nothing big.
We fished Rotfedern und Rotaugen – I was the guy to pull out the hooks from their mouths.
I had the feeling I bonded more with Sarah – but on the other hand she has reason to dislike me since I „take away“ Leo from her (due to the work we’re doing and in general when I am here, he & I do a lot of things together.)
In the first few days she asked me repeteadly „Won foast du wieder?“ – dressed as purely informational, but I think there was the intent to get me out of there.
But especially the last 4 days I left Leo to her, so to speak. Did more stuff with Adri and also Solo working all Saturday VM for example (2 Espresso godly and designing the Olympus UI in Figma).
But overall we talked about her job and current feel about it – which was heading to be a good talk but then fuckface Adri interrupted us with driving out the lake to fish with the boat – then we drove out.
There was also a kid I called „Bot“ which played football with me and Leo – in particular „5 oder Hölle“ as we call it (gaberln).
There was another kid who fished with us the first 3 days and another kid who played ping pong with us on Saturday.
Ping pong was one of the nicest things to do at the camping space.
Had some good laughs about Adri failing to play well. But some shots he hit well.
On Wednesday we were in Casino Velden, where I lost the first 5 bets and was out of money, so I just watched Adri gamble up (luck streak) and Leo also catching his loss.
I somewhat had no interest to play – like „what the hell am I doing here?“ – the defense mechanism went to biz and biz focus – to „rather really earn my money there“.
Weather was Ass in general.
VM: Me & Leo worked mostly – he made calls.
On Friday we would have had Hirm ZT call – but he bailed – we had that call yesterday actually and he pushed down the budget to 2k, but we most likely can get him as a client.
Me & Adri walked around Lake once or twice. I walked up the the bench overlooking the lake.
Week went by hella fast.
I miss it.
It’s time to create the life we want.
It’s time to become that person – Law of Manifestation.
I watched a great video on that – with core message: „Act NOW like you want to be – and it will come to you and bring everything you want with it.“
Time to do that.
As cliche as it sounds: making memories with others is the best thing in life. Being out there on adventures.
